QUICK REVIEW: CARMEX

Us beauty bloggers are fickle when it comes to products. When the next big thing comes out we buy it and love it and forget about all our other products. However, we all have those items that we keep going back to, time after time. For me, Carmex is one of those things. Ever since I borrowed this off my friend in high school I have been a fan of this lip balm. I just can't get enough of the cherry scent!

Although not as luxurious as some of my other lip balms, for around £1.50 this gives you a lip balm you can really feel working. It contains SPF 15 and in my opinion, is a cult beauty product that I will never be without.

ETAT PUR MICELLAR CLEANSING WATER REVIEW

Etat Pur Micellar Cleansing Water - £6.40 - http://www.etatpur.co.uk/

I'm sure we've all heard of the famous Bioderma, a product which, arguably, may have fueled the blogging craze for cleansing waters. With it being quite hard to get hold of if you can't take a trip to Paris, I decided to pick up the Etat Pur Micellar Cleansing Water. With rumours that they are part of the same company as Bioderma, I had high hopes that this would become a product I could never live without.

This is a very simple product; everything from the packaging to the price to the way you use it is fuss-free. This has the consistency of water but, unlike Bioderma, which i've read is odourless, it has a pleasant but certainly prevalent smell. In case you haven't heard of cleansing waters, you use them by wiping the liquid over the skin with a cotton pad. It requires no rinsing which is what initially attracted me to the product- i'm very lazy when it comes to skincare!

It feels like water on the skin, leaving no residue or greasiness behind. However, I really have to use a lot of product to remove my makeup completely, often soaking two large cotton pads to do my entire face. However, it does work excellently as an eye makeup remover. Although this will never completely replace some of my face washes and cleansers, it is something i'd repurchase.

I can't say i've tried this product exclusively enough to comment on the longer-term effects on my skin, but it certainly hasn't caused me to break out.

I reach for this product on a regular basis, especially throughout summer when my makeup was light/ I wasn't wearing any makeup. It does leave you skin feeling incredibly fresh and, although not an essential, it is something I enjoy having in my routine. I can certainly see myself trying more from the brand in future as this was extremely affordable and is a lovely product to use.

SUPERDRUG DRY SHAMPOO

I've been a user of Batiste for as long as I can remember, I use it almost everyday as I HATE washing my hair. However, I find it incredibly hard to get rid of the dreaded white powder and often end up being told off by my friends for not brushing it out properly.

I've heard good things about the Superdrug dry shampoo range, and after walking past the buy one get two free offer everyday after uni, I found it incredibly hard to resist. Picking up three cans was ideal; one for my bedroom, one to keep at the boyfriend's and one to keep in my handbag- perfect!

The biggest difference between this and Batiste is that this is completely clear on my blonde hair. No white powder in sight! It doesn't feel as heavy-duty as batiste so I feel that you have to use more to really refresh, particularly if it's second or third day hair. However, it certainly leaves it feeling light and build-up free which is something I struggle with as I have very fine hair. As for volume, I don't feel that it gives as much hold as Batiste but it does give your hair some texture, particularly if you spray it on your hands and then scrunch it into your hair. They all smell lovely but not too strong/ overpowering.

Overall, i'd definitely buy this again, especially if it was on offer. I do love Batiste but it's great to find a cheaper alternative that does an equally amazing job!
